About Juniper Autumn Herbal
Juniper Autumn Herbal is the herbalists practice of certified Western Clinical Herbalism, of Tyler Dickerson. His mission at Juniper Autumn Herbal is to bridge the gap between people and plants, empowering individuals to become advocates for their own health and bringing healing back into the hands of the individual.

Tyler's journey into Western Herbalism began in his adolescence when he discovered the magic of herbs along a nearby creekside in his native Idaho town. This initial encounter sprouted a deep passion that propelled him into herbal apprenticeships and over a decade of personal study.

Motivated by his own battle with autoimmunity and a keen awareness of the disconnect between the current healthcare system and personal health, Tyler seeks answers in the healing potential of plants. He holds a profound passion and knowledge for the therapeutic qualities of plants, listening to them as they offer insights into the ailments afflicting our modern society.

At Juniper Autumn Herbal, the belief is that true wellness starts with the individual's ability to find balance and integration with the natural world, mindful of what they put into their bodies. Tyler Dickerson, with his dedication to herbal wisdom and a deep connection to the plants, is committed to guiding individuals on a journey to holistic well-being.
Philosophy & Education
Tyler's mission is to revive the historical connection between people and plants. In a time when Herbalism was a common household practice, he aims to reintroduce this bond. Tyler is committed to helping individuals rediscover their innate ability to heal, placing the tools of holistic health & wellness back into their hands.
Working holistically, he collaborates with clients to address a range of imbalances, including digestive issues, nervous system dysregulation, cardiac concerns, immune dysfunction, and more. One of Tyler's profound passions lies in working with autoimmune conditions, guiding individuals towards alternative approaches that may pave the way to potential remission.
As a clinical herbalist, Tyler not only offers healing support but also serves as an educator of clinical herbalism, reflecting his full-time immersion in the realms of plants, client care, and education.
Herbalism Education

Tyler Dickerson’s expertise is grounded in three years of comprehensive clinical herbal education and training at the Berkeley Herbal Center, a school founded by renowned herbalist and educator Pamela “Pam” Fischer, under whose leadership the program was developed. Pam Fischer later retired after decades of teaching and mentorship.
Tyler completed over 1,400 hours of formal training at the Berkeley Herbal Center, including the following components:

-
Western Clinical Herbalism Apprenticeship Certification (600 hours):
An intensive program emphasizing anatomy and physiology, herbal therapeutics, materia medica, plant monographs, clinical case studies, and formulation. This training provided a strong foundation in understanding the human body and the therapeutic application of herbs in clinical contexts. -
First-Year Clinical Herbalism Internship (400 hours):
A supervised clinical internship within a student-run community clinic, allowing Tyler to apply theoretical knowledge of anatomy and physiology, herbal therapeutics, plant monographs, case analysis, and formulation in real-world clinical settings. -
Advanced Clinical Mentorship (400 hours):
A second year of advanced clinical study focused on deepening assessment skills, refining formulation strategies, and strengthening clinical reasoning through ongoing mentorship and applied practice. -

-
David Winstons Herbal Studies Program ( 2 year program)
Tyler is currently completing David Winston’s respected two year Herbal Studies Program, which provides a strong clinical foundation through an in-depth study of materia medica, constitutional systems, therapeutic strategies, and differential assessment. This program has deepened and strengthened the extensive training Tyler already completed through his apprenticeship, internship, and clinical mentorship years. Studying with David Winston has expanded Tyler’s clinical perspective, added nuance to his formulation and assessment skills, and continues to enrich the depth and clarity he brings to client care and herbal education.
